Sports as entertainment might allow for this kind of 'reporting'. I'd say that Hammond is simply part of the team's communications team. In time he will be subject to the same pressures that employees face in communicating about the company. At the same time, I expect the Kings will develop a following because people like a homer like Johnny Most was for the Celtics. Make it entertaining and they will come: just not for a news story.
